Elke Karskens is an exec at leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, where she’s recently been promoted to Country Director for Benelux and the Nordics. Always with a strong desire to follow innovation, she has an impressive career spanning stints at TomTom, Skype in its early days, and then a decade at Meta (formerly Facebook). Elke now plays a pivotal role at Coinbase, having initially led their marketing before being promoted to a leadership position. 

We dive into her dizzying career trajectory across Web2 to Web3, and hear how - like most of us - Elke was initially put off by the sheer amount of jargon in the crypto space and her passion for helping others make sense of the potential of decentralised finance.
