This podcast features the story of Kingsley Egbuchunam, the Founder of Project Save Hospitality. He has a passion for connecting people as well as giving back which is made evident with his newest venture. Kingsley was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria and before his 15th birthday left his native country to attend TASIS Boarding school, one of the most prestigious high schools in Europe. While overseas he quickly developed a love for traveling and exploring different cultures around the world. After receiving his bachelors in Marketing and Masters in Organizational Leadership he took a dive into unknown waters and started an unplanned career in hospitality. Over the years he has worked for 4 different hotel brands in New York City in a sales capacity and most recently was the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Park South Hotel.
We learn:
-Why his family thought “hotel sales” meant selling individual buildings
-How he used playing sports and the team concept to become better in his professional career
-That you can be a good person and still be wildly competitive. You can be kind and passionate at the same time.
-How he has helped others during the pandemic by starting Project Save Hospitality (projectsavehospitality.org), setting up career fairs, and instilled confidence in those affected.
