I was 28 years old when I had a stroke. I was living an active lifestyle competing in martial arts, Olympic style weightlifting and generally working to be healthy. After an ischemic stroke, I spent time in rehab working in recovering my life skills and improving my mindset. It challenged my relationships and my view of my sense of self and community.
