While there seems to be such emphasis on 'Black' Maternal Mental Health, there are other realms of well being beyond mental health, that affects all wombmen, such as mental, emotional, physical, environmental, nutritional, social, intellectual, financial. All of these realms are crucial to the spiritualrealm on a larger scale.

While Sátin analyzes the 9 realms of well being, she also examines the 4 trimesters as it relates to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum:

Trimester 2: Carry the Seed

Trimester 3: Birth the Seed

Trimester 4: Nurture the Seed
