From Passion to Action: Natasa Leoni's Guide to Activism
Today's guest is my friend, Sussex based photographer and activist Natasa Leoni. She focuses on humanitarian, protest and lifestyle photography, inspiring change through visual storytelling and photojournalism. Natasa has taken many a photo of me, and I lovingly call her 'the Queen Maker', since she legitimately makes everyone she snaps look like a queen!
She's a long term volunteer and campaigner in the charity and migrant solidarity sector, running the Brighton branch of Care for Calais, which supports refugees and those seeking asylum. Her activism is something I've long admired. Her recent photography exhibition in Brighton entitled In Limbo showcased photo portraits of individuals living in temporary hotel accommodation, having travelled to the UK to escape harsh experiences in their home countries.
I was so excited to have a personal, up close conversation with Natasa to explore how activism touches every single area of her life.
