Stick your finger in the icing

You can have your cake

cholesterol come much later.

Set a fire to what

waxes and wanes,

and then blow it off.

Make a wish to enjoy

three quarters of

a century more.

far off in the future.

When you are 100

and your Hubby is 84,

and you are both doing

wheelchair races in

a nursing home,

and laughing like old times.

When chap-sticks,

Nurses needle-sticks, and

just sticking around

is your sole purpose.

Then you will realize that 25

was kinder garden,

as you hobble through

your senior years.

It is merely a

checkpoint in time,

one box on a vast calendar,

a colander for your salad days.

Toss it without a care,

and devour each day ahead.

It's only part of the main course,

settle in and enjoy

the banquet of

your life to come
