In this episode, Eddie and I will talk about how to take your problems and turn them into productive progress so that by the time the whole Coronavirus pandemic blows over, you’re going to be a better person because of it. Some people are looking at the pandemic and being positive about it despite the fact that they may be headed towards financial ruin while others are adopting a more doom and gloom view of it all. That perception that someone chooses to hold is very important because it will determine whether they will come out of the difficult times we are in stronger or weaker.
When the 2008 global financial crisis hit, Eddie and I lost our jobs and we were faced with so much uncertainty about our future, but we didn’t stand in it, and instead chose to take action by making sure we were ready to vacate our house in case the mortgage company came calling because we couldn’t make our payments. We even went a step further and told our kids in advance that we were going to lose our jobs and not be able to afford our house anymore, so they could be prepared mentally for a move. And that’s pretty much always been our perception of difficult times, because we understand that even though we can't control a situation, we can still do something to be proactive.
I’d like to challenge you to take a piece of paper and make a list of people that you know and the different situations they are in right now, and that will help you see just how tough things really are for people, so you can get to a point of accepting your situation, being positive, and having the faith to face things head on. Stay tuned as we lead with the challenge and talk about a couple of our friends and the challenges they’re going through, and tell you the 10 questions that we think will help you improve your perception so that at the end of this episode you will have the courage to shift your perspective on this pandemic and push yourself towards ensuring that you come out of it a winner in as many respects as possible.
