With David's refusal to harm King Saul, despite Saul's repeated attempts on David's life, it teaches us about responding to enemies with love and restraint, mirroring Jesus’ teachings.  It challenges us to pause in God's presence when faced with adversity, shifting our focus from the actions of others to God's perspective.
