On Main Street in Stafford Springs, CT, Two Talking Fools stopped by Life Cycle, where owners Brandon and his son Hunter have created more than just a store—they’ve built a safe, inspiring hangout for local kids, skaters, and creatives.

Life Cycle is a one-of-a-kind mix: skateboards, tropical and rare houseplants, clothing, shoes, and even Pokémon cards—all wrapped in a laid-back, welcoming vibe that’s keeping the skate community alive and thriving.

We talked with Brandon about store hours, their weekly Sunday skatepark trips, and the deep passion that’s fueled his decades-long skating journey. His grower roots run deep—straight from California and Kauai—and the shop’s plant collection proves it, featuring jaw-dropping Monstera Albo, intricate grafting and cloning projects, and a recycled shoe wall that’s as much art as it is eco-friendly.
