Dr Gina, from the age of 2, knew she wanted to be a veterinarian caring for horses, but a major setback upon graduation found her working for nearly 10 years as a slaughter inspector for the USDA. The call to care for the horses at Horse Plus Humane Society has answered the needs of her heart, while she brings the entirety of her expertise in caring for the horses rescued from the slaughter pipeline.
