In this revisit of a classic episode from a few years ago, Dave and I explore the significance of what has become the second-most popular “holiday” in America, though there’s nothing holy about it.

In this episode we do a deep-dive into historical roots of the Halloween celebration. Beginning with the Celtic new year celebration of Samhain, god of the dead, Dave and I study the roots of this October 31st observance. We also examine the origins of common Halloween practices.
