I started my run from home to Mount Douglas Beach, navigating the Douglas Creek trail, where I heard about a search for a missing man. Upon reaching the beach, I spotted a search team scouting the area near the cliffs and took some photos before beginning my ascent. Along the way, I encountered trail closures due to tower repairs, which forced me to turn back after speaking with some hikers. I reflected on my pace, altitude, and blood oxygen levels, discussing how past respiratory issues might be affecting my performance. Finally, I descended via Harrop and Glendenning trails, noting changes in the forest and my usual running spots, and concluded the outing as the rain started to fall.
