Your host Don Orkoskey trace's his family's most recent immigrant story, that of his great grandparents who came from Hrustin Slovakia to Hazel Kirk PA in the early 1900's. Don spoke with Mark Pawelec and Brian Charlton from the Donora Historical Society located near the coal company town his family came to call home. They told him about the competing forces looking to shape the lives of immigrants and natural born citizens of the Monongahela River Valley and shared stories of what life was like for people like Don's great grandparents.
