Nelson Crone gives the monthly update on the UAF Farm and Extension Center, along with his sage advice.

Planting at the farm has included various grains, cabbage, and the research plots. The wind has been an issue for the last couple of weeks. Everyone’s hanging plants have taken a beating. Be careful moving your seedlings outside. The community garden is taking shape. The registration for new plots is closed. 24 plots are being planted, and everything is greening up. There are free classes and webinars available online, the calendar is available at UAF.edu/ces/classes. The trails around the farm have dried up nicely and are beautiful to hike. Please remember to keep your dogs on a leash.
