From the Frontline – Setting the Captives Free from Human Trafficking: Modern-Day Slavery

In this episode of From the Frontline, we expose one of the greatest humanitarian crimes of our age—human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Although many believe slavery ended in the nineteenth century, millions of men, women, and children remain trapped in forced labour, sexual exploitation, debt bondage, and human trafficking across the world today.

We examine the realities of Modern slavery in Africa and beyond, including the resurgence of slave markets under extremist groups, the exploitation of vulnerable women and children, and the international networks that profit from human misery. The discussion also explores the often-overlooked history of slavery, comparing different slave trades throughout history while highlighting the continuing need to confront injustice wherever it exists today.
