EPISODE 4: Eleven years ago, Davina Stowers Burgess started on the frontlines as an IEHP Member Services representative. She worked directly with members, learning about Medi-Cal and developing empathy for people experiencing health challenges. That empathy grew, especially when caring for her husband during his cancer battle. For the last three years, Davina has worked as a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) for IEHP's Integrated Transitional Care department. Through it all, she's witnessed IEHP put their members at the center of the universe. Then, when facing the loss of her husband, Davina saw firsthand how IEHP takes care of its team members, too.

EPISODE 3: Bradd Carey, IEHP Developer III, Application Development/IT Technology Systems, shares how his journey as a young adult in need of support for his new family and newborn daughter eventually led him to purpose-filled work for the “health plan with a heart.” Bradd also shares how his life experience through challenges in early adulthood provided valuable insights to the vulnerable populations IEHP serves and how best to meet their needs.
