Its over. Volvo Cars plans to end production of all diesel powered Volvo Car models by early next year. While diesel-powered cars have not generally been a thing in the United States, its popularity was huge in Europe. As late as 2019, the majority of Volvo cars sold in Europe were diesel powered.
