Research shows that alcohol consumption correlates quite strongly with stealthing. There are a few studies that point towards college campuses (18-25 years old) being one of the hubs when it comes to propagating intoxication along with stealthing as something trendy. The perpetrator also uses intoxication as an excuse to defend himself when called out afterward.
