Fruit machines are everywhere.....and they contain cash. This is a talk about the efforts people go to to steal cash from the machines, and what can go wrong when the engineers creating them make mistakes.
I've been working with fruit machines as a software engineer for over 30 years, primarily on system platforms and machine security. This talk gives an insight into some of the physical techniques thieves have developed over the years to steal cash from machines, and the catastrophic consequences of poor software.
