From Galatians 5:22-23…
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;
against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).
▶️ God’s Nature is Faithfulness
“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (Exod 34:6)
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23).
▶️ God’s Desire for us is that we would display faith in Him
The word “faithfulness” is actually the word faith. It’s the same word used to speak of faith–for example as Hebrews 11:1.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Heb 11:1)
Faithfulness is believing and acting on what you know to be true in God.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him (Heb 11:6)
We walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor 5:7)
