Galatians 5:22, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness (kindness = NKJV), goodness, faith…”

1 Timothy 3:3, “not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;”

Titus 3:2, “to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.”

James 3:17, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.”

Gentleness is kindness in the fullest sense of the word. 

- God is gentle, and to exhibit gentleness as a fruit of the Spirit is to honestly attempt to be like God
