Only by abiding in Christ can we bear fruit that remains, because Jesus is the true source of all life. When we lean back into his love and surrender ourselves to God's process of making us more fruitful, which John 15 calls "pruning," we find that we can follow Jesus more fully and forever–not just a little bit and sometimes.
