The two-day shutdown protest in Mangaung has been called off following a meeting with the provincial leadership. As part of the meeting’s agreement, the City manager will be suspended following pending investigations against him. More than 13 shops owned by foreign nationals have been looted since the protests started on Monday. Residents say that the recent incidents which led to the shutdown is due to frustrations that were never addressed. Let’s listen to what some of them had to say…
