3. When singing a song to God at church, are you sometimes distracted by the people around you? What are some ways you could tune out people and things around you and sing the songs directly to God?

3. Before walking on the water, Jesus went and prayed alone. Why do you think he wanted to pray alone?

4. What was happening on the lake that rocked the disciple’s boat? What caused them to be afraid? What encouraged them in their faith?

5. What do Peter 's actions reveal about his personality?

6. Would you be more likely to stay in the boat or step out of it? Why?

7. How do the disciples respond as a result of this experience with Jesus?

2. How has the desire to fit in affected how you dress, act, and speak? Is it different than it was in your teens?

3. How can you offer your whole life as a living sacrifice?

5. In what ways do you tend to conform to the world? How does the renewing of your mind happen?

4. Read revelation 19:11-21. What does this passage say about Jesus’ power and authority?

5. What weapon does Jesus wield? What does this mean and why is it important?

6. What is your greatest spiritual battle today? What is the outcome so far? What hope do you have in this struggle from the victory conveyed at the end of the book of Revelation?

 

Acts 27-28, Romans 1-3

Questions:

1. What stood out to you in the message?

2. If you could be famous for one hour, for what would you like to be known? Why?

3. Who is the central figure in Revelation 17 and 18? Who is she? What does she represent?

4. Pastor Chad said that there were two types of sin that are associated with her. What are the sins associated with her?

5. How do you see her and her influence in today’s society?

6. Of society’s wrongs, which ones have entrapped you from time to time? How has God enabled you to avoid the snares of “the great harlot”?

Questions:

1. What stood out to you in the message?

2. If you could have a bowl full of anything right now, what would you want? Why?

3. Revelation 16 describes a series of judgments poured out from bowls. What would be the worst judgment for you to experience: sores all over your body? Intense heat without air conditioning? Total darkness? Or great thirst with very little water? Why?

4. Read Revelation 15:3-4. What great and mighty deeds has God done in your life for which you will praise Him today? How appropriate is the song in this passage to your experience with God? Why?

5. Revelation 16 mentions the unrepentance of those who oppose God. What has God done in your life to help you repent? How receptive are you to admitting your guilt and repenting when you sin?
