Hey, it’s Ryan here, a co-founder of SM and host of this show Student-Made Stories– and today we’re going to hear from Florida State senior, Shantelle Silburn, founder of the Jamaican inspired brand ‘Wallflower Draws’ that is spreading her Caribbean heritage throughout South Florida and her college town of Tallahassee Florida. You’ll hear how she came to officially start her business thanks to some guidance from a SM FSU manager who came to speak to one of her classes– and I think you’ll be pretty amazed by ”hit the ground running” mentality Shantelle had– appearing in numerous large vendor events in her first year of operation– including a massive Caribbean festival in Broward County FL called Colors of the Caribbean.
