šļø Episode Description:Ā
Hey, itās Ryan here, a co-founder of SM and host of this show Student-Made Storiesā and today weāre going to hear from Florida State senior, Shantelle Silburn, founder of the Jamaican inspired brand āWallflower Drawsā that is spreading her Caribbean heritage throughout South Florida and her college town of Tallahassee Florida. Youāll hear how she came to officially start her business thanks to some guidance from a SM FSU manager who came to speak to one of her classesā and I think youāll be pretty amazed by āhit the ground runningā mentality Shantelle hadā appearing in numerous large vendor events in her first year of operationā including a massive Caribbean festival in Broward County FL called Colors of the Caribbean.
This is a preview for the full episode with Shantelle that will be coming out next week, so please stay tuned for that, and help us share it by sending to someone you know who could use the encouragement to pursue something they love. Be sure to check out Shantelleās Collection linked below, and also explore Student-Made Florida State.com to see dozens of student creators growing businesses of their own with the help of their campus community!
Alright, story timeā sit back, relax, and imagine yourself in tropical Jamaica or South Florida (whichever is most appealing to you), as these will both be big parts of Shantelleās journey.
