COVID has had long-term effects — not just health effects on some people, but also high grocery prices on everyone. Sulma Arias, Executive Director of People’s Action Institute, talks about a recent Federal Trade Commission (FTC) report that shows how COVID resulted in business failure of smaller grocery suppliers, to the advantage of the large chains such as Kroger and Walmart, who have held consumer prices high for continued greed and record profits.
