Quite a bit of hyperbole on both sides over in the Twittersphere concerning the game last night so I thought I would try to explain what happened to cause Brandon Staley to call timeout on that 3rd and 4 play. The decision and result probably saved millions for the sportsbooks on the hook if the game ended in a tie but there was logic behind it as flawed as it may have been.
