This week's guest is Ollie Matthews, a Functional Medicine Practitioner and Hormone Coach who helps exhausted parents get their energy, health, and confidence back so they can show up properly for their families.
Ollie lost his dad at 15. He spent the years after that in corporate burnout, using food to manage what he hadn't dealt with. He found his way out through fitness, and then went deeper — training under Harvard-affiliated Dr Datis Kharrazian, becoming one of the first practitioners in the UK to hold that accreditation. The path wasn't clean. A bodybuilding phase that involved steroid use left his own hormones in a mess. That experience shaped everything he does now.
He's worked with Taylor Swift's first manager Rick Barker, Beverley Knight, world champion endurance athletes, and Tour de France riders. Then he became a parent and realised the most overlooked patient was the exhausted dad in the mirror. That's what The ONE Method is built around — hormones, gut function, sleep, stress resilience, and routines that actually fit around a family.
In this episode, we explore:
"Most men don't have a discipline problem. They have a biology problem they don't know about yet."
This one is for the dad who's doing everything right on paper but still feels like he's running at 60 percent.
