With the airline industry reporting 17-25% of total operating costs are related to fuel and the jump we've seen in the cost of fuel over the past months, fuel tankering has become a consideration. This week we look at not just the financial impacts of the practice, but the environmental impacts as well.  Tankering does affect the organization's bottom line, but it has implications on the environment, the aircraft airframe, performance of the aircraft and safety as well.
