One thing that helps us relate to Jesus as a personal Savior is that He’s been where we are and can relate to us on the basis of humanity. In Philippians 2:6-7, scripture records: ‘Though He was God, He did not think of equality as something to cling to. Instead He gave up His divine privileges (emptied himself) and took on the form of a slave…’ He stripped himself of all divine privileges and assumed the guise of a slave born under the dominion of Satan’s kingdom. Born in the humblest of circumstance to teenage parents all so He could rescue us. He came in the lowest of conditions that He could relate to us regardless of current or past condition! We can live in complete peace in every area because God is faithful. (I Cor 10:13) He is able to do this because He has been where we are and where we will be… He has been there as well. It is not God’s plan for you and me to go through daily life always frustrated and discouraged. I know the plans I have for you… give you hope and a future (an expected end) Jer 29:11 Join us this Sunday as we continue our series on ‘The Love and Heart of God’.
