Luke 1 Gabriel appears before Zacharias and Mary

1. Gabriel tells Zacharias that Elizabeth will give him a

son. He says to call him John. John will be great in

the sight of the Lord, and shall not drink wine or

any strong drink. He will be filled with the spirit in

the womb, he will walk in the spirit and power of

Elijah, and he will make ready a people prepared

for the Lord.

2. Gabriel tells Mary that she is blessed and highly

favored of the Lord. He tells her that she will bear

a son and call him Jesus. Jesus would be great and

called the Son of the Highest. He would be given

the throne of David and His Kingdom would never

end.

Luke 1:39 Now Mary arose in those days and went into

the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, 40 and

entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.

41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting

of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and

Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Then she

spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you

among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my

Lord should come to me? 44 For indeed, as soon as the

voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe

leaped in my womb for joy. 45 Blessed is she who

believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things

which were told her from the Lord.”

1. Blessed are those who believe, for there will be a

fulfillment of those things which were told you

from the Lord.

2. What has the Lord been telling you? Are we

listening? Do we remember? Are we in a position

to hear from Him?

3. He’s going to speak to you through His Word, your

spirit, someone else, a vision in the night, an angel

of the Lord,

4. We then need to believe what He has told us,

continue speaking those things forth, declaring,

proclaiming, prophesying,

5. Notice in Luke 1:67-79 Zacharias begins to

prophecy over his son. Verse 76 he says “you will

be a prophet of the Highest, prepare the way of

the Lord, give knowledge of salvation, give light to

those who sit in darkness and guide feet into the

way of peace.”

6. We need to hear what the Lord is telling us,

believe it, keep it in front of us, speak it, do it, and

there will be a fulfillment of those things which

were told us from the Lord.

So it shall be in this region, the region that the Lord has

given to us, a mighty deluge of people coming in contact

with the Spirit of God, the presence of God and the

Word of God. We will break forth into our call, our

purpose, our destiny. We will proclaim the ways of the

Lord, lead those into the way of peace, we will take

those who are in darkness and bring them into the

marvelous light. The explosions that will come forth

from our lips as we speak and declare the things of God

will make a difference in the lives of many. Those who

have been resistant, discouraged, down trodden, tired,

poor and weary are going to turn out and be welcomed

into the light. The things that have been sown by this

ministry will bring forth a great harvest in the souls of

men so rejoice and know that the Lord is working

among us!!!
