In this week's episode, I deep dive into emotional suppression. I talk about why we a more suppressed society than ever and how we are conditioned this way through generational trauma.
A lot of the time, we are told growing up in subtle ways not to feel our emotions, or we watch others avoid their emotions. And so from these past experiences, we dissolve all safety to FEEL. We start to shame and judge ourselves if we feel sad, angry, frustrated and so by suppressing those heavier emotions, it creates numbness and therefore, we create the inability to feel lighter emotions like happiness, excitement and pleasure.Β
