This episode is about 12 years in the making! SO FULL CIRCLE! I had the chance to interview author/UConn Women's Basketball legend Mel Thomas!!! Mel graduated in 2008, and went on to play a few seasons of pro basketball overseas. She returned to the states to work with Florida Gulf Coast and their women's basketball team! Mel is now balancing being a new mom with coaching basketball, as well as working remotely in marketing and graphic design! Her book Heart of a Husky: Determination, Perseverance, and a Quest for a National Championship is my all time favorite book. It details her senior year with the UConn Huskies, as well as behind the scenes tidbits about being a college athlete.
