Chapter 1:
-Soccer's world Cup is coming to North America in 2026.  This morning FIFA delegates at their Congress in Moscow chose the United bid from Canada, Mexico, and the U-S over Morocco.
Chapter 2:
-The joint bid beat out Morocco with 67% of the vote. Toronto, Montreal and Edmonton will host 10 games in Canada. The US will host the most in the tournament, about 60. It’s the first time North America will host together. Here was the announcement at the FIFA Congress in Moscow this morning.
Chapter 3:
-Warning - this story may be hard to listen to. A North Vancouver teen spoke about the mother and brother he lost in Monday’s tragic apartment complex fire.  14-year old Sohail Delshad told Paul Haysom that his father was in the living room and he was in his bedroom when the 2:30am blaze broke out.
Chapter 4: View From Victoria
-Mike Harcourt has some advice for the current government on housing crisis, which he says is not a crisis but a permanent condition.  The Vancouver Sun's Vaughn Palmer is here with his take on the day's headlines.
Chapter 5:
-The US President flew back into Washington DC this morning after penning a so-called deal which reaffirms North Korea’s pledge to denuclearise.
Chapter 6:
-Children’s representative Bernard Richard says he has “grave concerns” about youth group homes in BC amid fresh allegations about staff members, including one who allegedly offered cocaine to a child.
Chapter 7:
-Three Canadian cities will host 10 World Cup games in 2026 in Edmonton, Montreal and Toronto. Vancouver will not be part of the tournament, after it opted out, citing financial uncertainty from FIFA.
Chapter 8:
-A special edition of "Making Cents of Markets" which focuses on the Fathers Day Walk/Run in support of prostate cancer research.
Chapter 9:
-A new report out today by the Canadian Cancer Society has found almost 50% of colorectal cancers in Canada spread, despite the availability in most provinces and territories of of colorectal cancer screenings. So how can rates be improved?
Chapter 10:
-A Global News investigation has found a new trucking company operating in Alberta has ties to the suspended trucking business involved in the Humboldt tragedy in April.
Chapter 11:
-This weekend, police patrolled Italian Days on Commercial Drive and the Whitecaps game at BC Place with what seemed to be extra precaution. Barricades were set up and some officers were armed with semi-automatic rifles (the Colt C8 carbine rifle).
