-There is a lot going on this morning including a Super Blue Blood Moon, a file cabinet being sold in a particular way, the State of the Union as well as a big back and forth over Kinder Morgan pipeline.

-The BC NDP government dug its feet in on the Kinder Morgan Pipeline which brought about a strong response from the Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley. The NDP want to use the idea of spill response as a reason to slow down or halt the building of the pipeline & even if they build it they wouldn’t be able to use it to its full capacity.

-Last night President Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union address. Trump tried to sell his tax cut plan, On immigration says he’s ‘extending an open hand’ to work with both parties to protect citizens of every background and Trump touched on North Korea and the threat that exists with that regime.

-The mayor of North Vancouver made a comment during council that some may feel is inappropriate. How do the other council members feel? Darryl Mussato cracked a joke referencing “camel toe” during a North Vancouver council meeting.

The province announced plans Tuesday morning to put a restriction on the amount of diluted bitumen that can be transported by pipeline or rail until the province can better understand the ability to mitigate spills.
