Chapter 1:

-The NRA has had a meeting with the President and it looks like Trumps tune has changed again after signalling earlier that gun control laws were something he was thinking about.

Chapter 2:

-Canada is lobbying the Trump administration to drop hefty tariffs on steel and aluminium imports. Donald Trump imposed the tariffs in a move that’s come as a big surprise, and raised concerns about job security within the Canadian steel and aluminium industries.

Chapter 3:

-A Richmond business, called DogClub, has a singles night for dog owners.

Chapter 4:

-The NDP wanted an independent B.C. Utilities Commission and they got one.  The Commission turned down a proposed rate freeze stating an inadequate justification for move that would have hit the bottom line by $140 million.  The Vancouver Sun's Vaughn Palmer is here with his take on the day's headlines.

Chapter 5:

-Every now and then, a piece of technology comes out that is so groundbreaking it changes the very way we live our lives. This is not one of those pieces of technology.

Chapter 6:

-In the wake of the BC Utilities Commission ruling BC Hydro must go ahead with a 3% rate hike starting April 1st, an SFU political scientist says it's not unusual for a campaign promise to be broken, as a year ago the BC NDP were promising a one-year freeze on Hydro rates.

Chapter 7:

-CNN is reporting the FBI is investigating the negotiations and financing surrounding the Trump International Hotel and Tower in downtown Vancouver.
U-S counter-intelligence officials tell the network it's part of a larger probe into the business entanglements of both Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, to determine if those deals could leave them vulnerable to pressure from foreign agents, including China.

Chapter 8:
-Do they have a chance this year?  The Whitecaps are kicking off their season this Sunday against Montreal.

Chapter 9:

-Here is a feel good Friday story for you: students at a Merritt high school had their application to paint a rainbow sidewalk turned down by city council. So instead, two parking lot owner suggested the students could paint their ENTIRE parking lots rainbow!

Chapter 10:

-Canada will take ‘defensive measures’ against Trump and the US - who’s slapped tariffs on steel imports. Canada is America’s number one steel importer, raising serious concerns about local steel and aluminium job security.

Chapter 11:

-The Coquihalla crash that injured 29 people and stranded more than 130 Graham Zillwood witnessed the crash and called 911.

Chapter 12:

-Minister Mike Farnworth has proclaimed a Search and Rescue Memorial Day today,  which includes the unveiling of a plaque at the legislature; the announcement is being coordinated by the BC Search and Rescue Association. It comes following the rescue of Annette Poitras and her dogs in September.
