Welcome to the second reading from my journal dating from October to December 2016. Life is unfair. Life is never fair. But how I deal with the pain is something I want to share with you. My life revolves around me, my family and my career. When I separated from my ex-husband, I separated a family. I was guilty of that. But am so proud now that I left the toxic energy that we had developed in our home. The energy that was eating me up and leaving me empty inside. I did not want to become one of them (ex-family), and I most definitely did not want my children to think that that is the only way to live. I had to leave and start all over again and teach my children what and who their mother was. And let them decide what they feel about my actions. Family is everything and mother's keep family's together. As much as they can, they will give up everything in order to save their family. They will even try to destroy a member who decides to leave the pact. That was the price I paid for freedom.
