For our accessibility story roundup, we talk about how last summer was the first time in more than 60 years that motor vehicles and bikes did not have equal access to Gatineau Parkway. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Capital Commission announced a pilot project to close the Gatineau Parkway to motor vehicles during May and June, restricting access to “active users” only. Dave Brown shares the details. The province of Manitoba is developing a “Rent Bank” to ensure housing is available for low income residents.
