Fullness of Joy
Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Are you weary, sad, confused, depressed? Has your heart been disappointed and torn apart? I have good news for you - there is fullness of joy in God’s presence.
Here is an invitation from God to you - Isaiah 55
vs. 1 - ““Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free!”
vs. 3 - ““Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.”
vs. 6 - Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.
vs. 12-13 - “You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands! Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.””
The path to lasting joy and peace is in God’s presence.
Have you ever thought “I need to get myself together first THEN I can come to God” - well that’s a lie from the pit of hell. How do I know this? Jesus Himself said - they that are well need not a physician; but they that are sick.
God is calling you - yes, your broken self - just the way you are. It is He who will put you back together.
His hands are open wide to receive you - do not delay any longer. Come into God’s presence. Seek His face and you will not be disappointed. Because in His presence is fullness of Joy.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for you open door policy that the death and resurrection of Christ bought for us. Daddy, I pray for as many as are under the bondage of depression that they will receive the grace to seek you so that they may enjoy your joy to the fullest in Jesus name! Amen! Amen!! Amen!!!
