Huda Al Lawati is a partner of Gateway Partners, based in Dubai. She has over 16 years of experience in strategy, investment and portfolio management across emerging market private equity and corporates in the MENA with a strong relationship network in the region. Prior to joining Gateway, Huda was CIO at Savola Group, the leading strategic investment holding company in the food and retail sectors in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey region. She was responsible for strategy, portfolio management, M&A and investor relations for the group.

Kamar Jaffer is counsel at Allen & Overy in the Funds and Asset Management Group. Kamar specializes in advising on structuring and establishing investment funds (including Shari’a compliant funds), co-investments, cross-border M&A, private equity and joint ventures. Kamar’s experience spans a broad range of sectors including private equity, financial institutions, energy, telecommunications, hospitality, real estate and healthcare sectors.
