FUNK AND FEELINGS: THE MAGIC OF "CUTIE PIE".
In the vibrant city of Detroit, two inseparable friends, Selso and
Moose, were known for their infectious energy and love for music. Selso,
with his smooth dance moves, and Moose, with his knack for creating
catchy tunes on his keyboard, were the life of every party.
One summer evening, the duo decided to attend a local funk concert
featuring their favorite band, One Way. The concert was electric, with
the crowd grooving to the band’s soulful beats. During a break between
sets, Selso and Moose managed to sneak backstage, eager to meet their
idols.
As they introduced themselves to the band members, they couldn’t help
but share their passion for music. Selso demonstrated his dance moves,
while Moose played a funky melody on his portable keyboard. The band was
impressed by their talent and enthusiasm.
“Hey, you guys are pretty good!” said Al Hudson, the lead vocalist of One Way. “Where do you get your inspiration?”
Selso grinned and pointed to Moose. “This guy here is always coming
up with the sweetest tunes. We call them ‘cutie pie’ melodies because
they’re just so catchy and lovable.”
Moose laughed and added, “Yeah, we just try to create music that makes people feel good and want to dance.”
The band members exchanged glances, clearly intrigued by the idea.
“Cutie pie melodies, huh?” said Kevin McCord, the bassist. “I like the
sound of that.”
Over the next few hours, Selso and Moose jammed with One Way, sharing
their ideas and collaborating on new tunes. The chemistry was
undeniable, and the band found themselves inspired by the duo’s
infectious energy and creativity.
A few weeks later, One Way released a new single titled “Cutie Pie.”
The song quickly became a hit, with its funky rhythm and catchy lyrics
capturing the hearts of fans everywhere. Selso and Moose were thrilled
to hear their influence in the song and felt honored to have played a
part in its creation.
