In the spirit of science, discovery, and innovation, STAT and its partner Affiliates are thrilled to present "Funny You Should Think That"—a web series that not only addresses misconceptions in science but also takes a closer look at their earlier development and progression into high school-level learning.

The series continues with a presentation from Associated Chemistry Teachers of Texas (ACT2) and Texas Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers (TSAAPT), featuring Nicole Lyssy, Past President of ACT2, and William Newton, Ph.D., Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Texas A&M University-Commerce and President of TSAAPT. 

Concerns about the effects of exposure to radiofrequency radiation are understandably increasing as we are surrounded by an increasing number of transmitting devices. This episode investigates the science behind potential radiofrequency health effects, how scientific research gets translated into safety standards for our devices, and why you can relax about your Bluetooth earbuds.
