New Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould held a joint press conference with WSU President Kirk Schulz today and we listen into some of it as it pertains to not only the future of the two schools left, but the NCAA overall. Stewart Mandel, The Athletic joins to tell us the latest on the potential college football playoff potential. He discusses the ripple effect of the coaching carousel - specifically Kalen DeBoer at Alabama and Jedd Fisch at UW. Plus, he weighs in on the NCAA tournament and the conferences who want to see it expand. We listen back to Mike Garafolo's comments to Puck and Jim regarding Geno Smith's future, which gave us an even stronger indication that Geno Smith will be in Seattle in the future. John Schneider indicates he's committed to Geno, but Garafolo thinks he's going to hand the reigns to Mike Macdonald and allow his head coach to make the call. Rob Rang, FOX Sports thinks we'll see Byron Murphy excel in the combine and will be a first-round selection. He also sees the Seahawks prioritizing resigning Leonard Williams. He breaks down what scouts and executives are truly looking for this weekend in Indianapolis. Interestingly enough, he says the offensive tackle group is the most talented of all the positions in the draft.
