Surrounded by the polecats, from Gastown, Max and the Vuvalini struggle to combat the melee fighters landing on the tanker all around them. The polecats also advance on the rig, using a smoke grenade to fill the cab with smoke and using a catch pole to grab Furiosa around the neck. The Keeper of the Seeds is quick to defend Furiosa but is slashed in the neck, gravely wounding her.
