Future In-Demand Health Informatics Careers
On this episode of the podcast we dive into a question from a listener, who asked me, What careers in health informatics do you think will be in high demand in the future? Although no one can predict the future, in looking at current trends in the BI/BA roles and as standards such as FHIR (Fast Health Interoperability Resources) improve connectivity between healthcare systems, we will be able to transform data from multiple sources (patient generated data to the EMR) for improved health outcomes. Therefore, I think the three jobs which feed into this are the medical data scientist, clinical data engineer and the UX healthcare designer.
