Future of Online Gaming

Hey guys, what's up? Welcome back to the podcast. As always, please make sure you click subscribe to this podcast as there be many more episodes about the future of gaming. Today, I just want to take a look at what's going on in regards to online gaming, or in the most we see the Elder Scrolls Online continues to grow with their grade more expansion, which goes into Skyrim, which is a great opportunity for them, because they already did morrowind, why not take it to Skyrim. So Elder Scrolls Online did a phenomenal job with taking that on. And really making it a robust dialogue system, I've really found that game dialogue system to just be some of the best I've seen. And it's, it's pretty straightforward, it takes you on the quest, the dialogues there, that tells a story very deeply, it's kind of like reading Game of Thrones, you know, you're gonna get a very deep story, it may not have all the dialogue options, but it's going to tell you everything that you need to know when it comes to that backstory. And one of the nice things that kind of actually do like, with Elder Scrolls Online, which I would like to see more MMOs is it allows you to repeat that conversation over and over in a loop. And some of those conversations can be very detailed. So that's kind of nice when it comes to the lore of Skyrim. And figuring that out when it comes to that grammar expansion. But a robust system. In all honesty, I like the combat now almost as good as Skyrim, which is saying a lie. Because I like the magical spells that you're able to implement, I think they've really refined the system, to the point where I'm going to play through all these expansions. Like I am so excited to play the original game all the expansions for online gaming, I would expect this will continue into the future. So right now on the ps4 Pro, which is what I'm playing it on, there's an option for 4k and Tandy p with really good graphics. So that's interesting, I could definitely see on the PS five, they unlock that to where you're able to play in 4k, with full graphical effects for Elder Scrolls Online. So they actually haven't been refined now on the ps4 Pro, which was surprising to me, I didn't think it was that graphical of a game, but they weren't able to unlock it at 4k. So in the future, we're, I think we're just going to see the steady progression in next generation cap systems, to these games getting migrated over slowly onto the systems. I don't know how quick Elder Scrolls Online will go over. But I can definitely see it because there's going to keep releasing on this stuff. Why wouldn't they do that, because it's been successful. So they're going to get on PS fives, I would be curious if like Star Trek Online jumps over there. Or even if World of Warcraft gets in on that, to really promote it, I think that would be a really good idea for them to get on that bandwagon, because they really never have done that. And it's one thing they could do to definitely boost their sales outside of the PC genre. So if we're Warcraft decided to make that jump, it might be a smart jump, it could be worth a lot of money to them. And blizzard. Historically, though, we no matter what they don't seem to be doing this or going along this route. For whatever reason, they decided that it's not something that they want to do, which is also understandable, because they kind of created a niche product product, that doesn't really make sense to do that. But they may, you never know. So in regards to MMOs, we're gonna see the graphical uptake, I think we've refined the gameplay, so I can remember MMOs at the beginning of this generation, and they simply were not very good, especially the Combat Systems. And then we saw progressive updates. Now these games that are out now are very, very good, they done a really good job. And making them almost seemed like, at the beginning of generations, what games were in regards to gameplay, which is very surprising is something that makes me..
