Dr. Ann O’Connell, PhD, is a visionary leader and expert in Medtech and Manufacturing skills development. As Head of Funded Projects for Medtech and Engineering at Ibec, she oversees over 100 upskilling programs annually. Her extensive and strategic portfolio addresses critical areas such as Research & Development, Manufacturing & Digitalisation, Quality & Regulatory, Sustainability, and Management & Leadership.

With a PhD from University College Dublin (2014) and over 17years of industry experience at Intel Corporation and Irish Manufacturing Research, Ann has deep technical foundations in technology, digitalisation, data science, and intelligent automation which informs her current work, where she applies her expertise to empower industries to address some of the world's most pressing challenges in health and environmental sustainability.
