A multi-award-winning writer, producer, director, and a master of faith-based animation. As the Co-founder and CCO of Herald Entertainment, Robert Fernandez always sees the big picture; he ensures emphasis on the production of excellent content of audio-visual and print material that highlights good values. His experience in children’s animation spans over 30 years and his work has been translated and dubbed into multiple languages and distributed worldwide. At Herald Entertainment, Robert creates programs with a purpose - “theology for kids”. He is also aware that whatever they create will have an importance in evangelizing.
Robert says: “If there’s anything good in it, it's all glory to Jesus; and if there’s anything that's not too good, then that’s just us - that’s the human part.” Growing up in California, Robert went to a Catholic school and was an altar boy but unfortunately, the formation he received was “not that great”. Curious and as a young 14-year-old boy with a lot of questions, in seeking, Robert had an encounter with the Lord; in a matter of minutes, the presence of the Lord became very real to him. From that moment on, Robert was branded for God, to do His work. He committed his life to the Lord and went into the Protestant church, and years later, after an interview with Mother Teresa, he returned to his Catholic faith.
