As one of the most well-known and universally valued metals, gold was seen throughout the Tabernacle and Temple's construction and exclusively within the Holy of Holies. Gold's chemical non-reactivity to other elements and stability means it will never tarnish nor rust and symbolizes how G3D has remained unchanged forever and how He will not commune with contaminants to maintain His Purity. Christ's sacrifice tore the veil of the Holy of Holies, allowing us to have direct access to G3D as our King and we can have an intimate relationship with Him and experience His Voice and Presence, which was previously exclusively reserved for the Holy Priest on Yom Kippur.
