It's chilling time once again with D'Word! This podcast is the 9th Episode of Season 2 of #DWord, recorded from the livestream of May 1, 2021.
Fresh from making the Perpetual Profession of Religious Vows earlier in the day, Bro. Jojo Torres, SDB guests in this episode. He is originally from Tarlac, but now belongs to the Seminaryo ng Don Bosco, Paranaque, as a 3rd year theology student in this multi-cultural, multinational formation house. Bro. Jojo had his elementary and high school schooling at Don Bosco Tarlac and went to UST - Manila for college, before entering the Salesians of Don Bosco. He is an SDB for 8 years already. According to his #connections he is funny, friendly, caring, and sweet.
Bro Paul, Kuya PM and Coleen (new hosts) opens the show and Coleen leads the prayer. Each of the host then share on the COVID-19 pandemic as an experience of disconnection.
Bro. Jojo delivers the Gospel for the #5thSundayofEaster, May 2, (watch video here: D'Word Unfolds | Gospel May 2, 2021 | 5th Sunday of Easter). It is about Jesus as the True Vine. Bro Paul and Branny (new host) ask questions for the contest and explains the relevant points of the #Gospel.
Next, Bro. Paul, Coleen and PM chills with our guest, Bro. Jojo. They play a game, "I-Connect or I-Disconnect Challenge." The hosts gives Bro Jojo situations which he answers gamely and funnily. Coleen asks Bro. Jojo of the "perks" of giving his 'Forever Yes" to God. Next, Bro Paul asks if he is a service provider, is he Globe or Smart? Then Pm asks how the guest values the gift of friendship or the gift of connection. Bro Paul then proceed to ask our guest what he do when the time comes that you feel so disconnected with life's events, to the persons around him, or even with himself. Lastly, Br. Jojo gives advice to the youth on how they can nourish the friendship and relationship with God.
The three hosts then shares their takeaways and reflections on their connectedness. They also share thereflections from the viewers. For the Practice of the Week, “Anong steps, ways, o paraan ang puwede ko gawin para palaguin o para lumago ang connection o relationship ko with Jesus?”
